EUROPEAN PUBLIC LAW SEMINAR

SCHEDULE AND FIRST CLASS

- The EPL seminar is starting this week, and the first class will be held on Friday, 9 March 2018, at 10.00 at Cirilometodska 4, classroom no. V (ground floor).

- Starting next week we would like to reschedule the seminar for Tuesdays, at 10.00 or 11.00, at Trg Republike Hrvatske 3, classroom no. III. We would start with this new schedule on Tuesday, 13 March. In scheduling the seminar we are trying to accommodate students' preferences. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

SEMINAR REQUIREMENTS

- Class participation is a standard requirement at the University of Zagreb (but students are allowed to miss a small number of classes due to personal reasons). Activity in the class is valued. 

- Students can pass the seminar either by taking a mini-exam (colloquium) or by writing a short paper. Students interested in writing a short paper should discuss the topic with the seminar's teaching staff. The topic can be either from the field of expertise of the teaching staff or a case study (European Court of Justice judgment).

DUBROVNIK SEMINAR

- Students taking the EPL seminar will have priority in the selection process for the Jean Monnet Seminar "Advanced Issues of EU Law" (4 ECTS) where the number of places and grants is limited. This is an annual event, and this year's topic is "Blame it on Brussels - EU Law and Distributive Effects of Globalization".
