We are pleased to announce the availability of the Bepina Sabalic Kunin Endowed Scholarship Fund at Georgetown University. This fund is intended to support Catholic Croatian students pursuing graduate degrees in selected programs who will return to Croatia to use their knowledge and skills to improve the lives of Croatian citizens by strengthening universities, schools, businesses, organizations or governmental bodies.

    Eligible students are those enrolled full-time in any of the following graduate program categories at Georgetown University:

PhD

  *   Natural sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Physics)

  *   Life sciences (Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Neuroscience,

Tumor Biology, Microbiology, Global Infectious Diseases)

  *   Government

  *   Economics

  *   Psychology

Professional

  *   Business

  *   Master's Programs Offered by the School of Foreign Service

  *   Master of Laws

  *   Doctorate in Law (SJD)

Medical

  *   Fellows at the Georgetown University Medical Center

Students must apply to and be admitted by the individual program. Selection of the Kunin Scholar will be made from among the pool of admitted applicants who meet the eligibility criteria. Awards will be made in the form of full-tuition scholarships, maintenance stipends, and individual health insurance coverage as offered by Georgetown University's student health plan. Stipends for doctoral students will be at least at the level established by the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences.

Continuation of support is contingent on the student's meeting all relevant University and programmatic academic standards.

It is anticipated that one award will be made for the academic year 2013-14.
