Health care system in Croatia as context for social work practice. Health as a condition and Illness as a condition. Social issues connected with health. Patients' rights. Social dimensions of health. Medical sociology. Normality/Pathological. Use of medicament. Social Work processes and methods in health care. Mental illness and placement. Cooperation with medical professionals, collaborative practice. Self-protection in health care setting.

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:

Define and explain health care system as a context for social work practice

Recognise and explain social aspects of illness

Recognise, explain and describe methods and techniques of social work practice in health care

Have insight into different health care settings and the role of social worker

After successfully completing the course, students will gain:

Ability to work in small groups
