Description
International social work will give an opportunity to process following topics:
1) contemporary processes as context for development of international social work: globalization, localization, universalism, indigenization and imperialism
2) Contemporary trends in the area of social, economic and ecological development
3) International social work: meaning, opportunities, needs and obstacles for development
4) International practice of social workers in the context of contemporary social problems
5) Prerequisites for the international practice of social workers: organizations, ideologies, political processes, theoretical background
6) Skills of Social Workers Involved in International Practice
7) Education of social workers at the international level
8) International Scientific Research in Social Work
9) Implementation of foreign practice at the national level: the example of Croatia

The course is intended for graduate students who are able to integrate a number of previously acquired knowledge, familiarize themselves with the features of contemporary global processes, and consider social work from a global and comparative perspective.
