Snježana Vasiljević is a professor of European Public Law, Fundamental Rights in the European Union, EU Gender Equality Law, European Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination at the Department of European Public Law, University of Zagreb – Faculty of Law. She received her LLB, LLM, and Ph.D. from the University of Zagreb, her MPhil degree from the University of Cambridge (Darwin College) and completed her postdoctoral fellowships at the Columbia University, New York, and the University of California Los Angeles. She became the Head of the Department for Public Law and Public Administration and chief of the Committee for Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination, University of Zagreb-Faculty of Law. She currently serves as an ad hoc judge at the European Court of Human Rights and Special Advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Croatian government for gender equality, human rights, minority rights, and non-discrimination.
