Ms Rusan Novokmet was born in Zagreb on 20 July 1982. She graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb in December 2006. She worked as a law trainee in the period from February until October 2007. In July 2009 she passed the bar exam at the Ministry of Justice. She was employed as a research assistant at the Chair of Public International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb in 2007. In 2017 she completed the postgraduate doctoral study in Public International Law and Private International Law by defending the doctoral dissertation ˝The Responsibility of Non-State Actors for Internationally Wrongful Acts˝. In 2021 she has been elected as an Assistant Profesor at the Chair of Public International Law, Faculty of Law, University of Zagreb. She teaches the following subjects: International Law, Development of International Law, International Protection of Human Rights and Consular Law. She also teaches International Law at the Croatian Military Academy˝Dr. Franjo Tuđman˝.
