Zagreb International Conference "Society, Law, and Legal Culture"

Dear colleagues,

We have the honor of inviting you to be a part of the International Conference „Society, Law, and Legal Culture“, taking place in Zagreb, Croatia, 1 and 2 December 2016. The conference is organized by the Chair of Sociology at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Law.

The conference is organized as a part of celebrating 110 years of establishing the Chair of Sociology at the Faculty of Law, with the aim of focusing on the societal foundations of law, and the link between the law and the society as a whole.

This two-day conference will gather leading researchers and experts on sociology of law, legal culture, legal anthropology, philosophy,  law and economics, political science, and many other interdisciplinary areas of research that have law in its focus.

We are especially honored to inform you that we will have two keynote speakers. They are preeminent scholars of the sociology of law – professor Marina Kurkchiyan from the University of Oxford, and professor Vidar Halvorsen, from the University of Oslo.

We invite you to submit your abstract, and actively participate in the work of the conference. All the details can be found on our web site soclawzagreb.pravo.hr.
