 Invitation to a lecture of Mr. Paolo Berizzi: "Implementing Human Rights Acquis: Why the Chapter 23 Proved Challenging in the Course of the Croatian EU Accession?"

The Chair of Sociology and the European Law Student Association (ELSA) have a pleasure to invite you to a lecture of Mr. Paolo Berizzi on "Implementing Human Rights Acquis: Why the Chapter 23 Proved Challenging in the Course of the Croatian EU Accession?". The lecture will be held on January 10, 2013 starting as of 6pm at the Faculty of Law building located at Trg maršala Tita 3, lecture room 3.

Mr. Paolo Berizzi, who is the Head of Political, Economic, Trade, Press and Information Section of the Delegation of the European Union to Croatia is expected to familiarize students with the EU human rights acquis and its implementation by Croatian authorities so far.
 
The Chair of Sociology and the European Law Student Association (ELSA) have initiated in the academic year 2012/13 a project "Law & Society in a Comparative Perspective". It consists of a set of guest lecturers where foreign diplomats active in Croatia are offering a first-hand insight into their societies and their countries’ legal institutions especially in relation to realisation of principles of equality, justice, and fairness.
 
Lectures will be delivered on a monthly basis, and on February 21, 2013 we are welcoming the Bulgarian Ambassador to Croatia, H.E. Tanya Dimitrova Dimitrova.
