About the topic: The legal service from student clinics – especially to poor and deprived groups – often show that existing law has significant limitations in solving the clients’ problems. Such experiences bring up issues about legal reform and the students might also become motivated to forward them from their experiences with client problems. Such legal reform work might be perceived as more “political” than helping individual clients and therefore more controversial. The attitude toward legal reform work therefore varies between clinics.
