The beginnings of the managerial approach to the public sector (Woodrow Wilson, Leonard White, Frederick W. Taylor, etc.). (3h)
The classics of the managerial approach: L. Gulick Urwick, Chester Barnard, Mary Parker Follett. (3h)
The rationality of approach with an emphasis on decision-making process: prescriptive decision-making models, formalised decision-making models, heuristic decision-making models. (3h)
Public sector reform as a dimension of globalisation. Classification of the models according to the dominant management principle and doctrines they are based on. (3h)
Market and privatisation (analyses according to the structural changes, process changes, and the consequences from the aspect of distributive justice). (3h)
Management by results, decentralisation and devolution, competitive mechanisms (each model is analysed according to the structural changes, process changes, and the consequences from the aspect of distributive justice). (3h)
Evaluation of the results achieved by a particular model. (3h)
