Within the course students acquire knowledge and skills from the area of criminal law (basics) and criminology as an independent and multidisciplinary science.
Course description
? BASIC CRIMINAL LAW. Introduction. General part of criminal law (criminal law sanctions). Special part of criminal law. Juvenile criminal law. Legal position of persons with mental disorders.
? INTRODUCTION TO CRIMINOLOGY. The subject of criminology. Methods in criminology. Definition of criminology. Relation between criminology and other criminal disciplines.
? CRIMINOLOGICAL PHENOMENOLOGY ? LEARNING ABOUT MANIFESTATIONS OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR. Introduction to criminological phenomenology. Violent torts. Property crime. Drug abuse. Organised crime, corruption and money laundering. Cybercrime. Phenomenological specific features of certain groups of delinquents.
? CRIMINOLOGICAL ETIOLOGY ? LEARNING ABOUT THE CAUSES OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOUR. Introduction to criminological etiology. First criminological discourses. Positivist school. Ecological theories. Theory of anomy. Theory of labelling. Theory of differential association. Theory of genetic predisposition for criminal behaviour. Radical criminology. Other criminological theories.
