After successful mastering of the course, students will be able to:
- define and explain intellectual property and copyright,
- define and explain the author, copyright and related rights, content-related and temporal limitations of copyright and related rights, management of copyright and related rights, enforcement of copyright, disposal of copyright and related rights and civil law protection of copyright and related right,
- explain the relation between copyright and the right of ownership,
- explain historical development of copyright.

After successful mastering of the course, students will be able to:
- adequately explain regulations that determine copyright and related rights,
- apply legal regulations to concrete life situations,
- select an adequate manner of civil law protection,
- illustrate bodies competent for the enforcement of protection.

After successful mastering of the course, students will be able to:
- analyse legal sources and rules that regulate copyright and related rights,
- distinguish copyright by categories,
- compare tasks of management of copyright and related rights,
- connect the subject-matter of copyright and related rights with the courses. Civil law, general part and law of obligations; Civil law II: law of property and law of inheritance, and Civil law - contractual obligations.

After successful mastering of the course, students will be able to:
- draw individual contracts on management of copyright and related rights,
- propose a solution for a concrete case.

After successful mastering of the course, students will be able to:
- recommend an aptimal manner of the enforcement of copyright and related rights,
- conclude which are legal consequences of entering into individual types of contracts,
- assess and evaluate justifiability of individual institutes of copyright.
