Ubaldo Villani-Lubelli has a Ph.D in historical disciplines from the University of Lecce (Italy) and University of Cologne (Germany) and the Habilitation as Professor (Professore Associato, ASN 2018-2024) in History of Political Doctrines and Political Institutions. He is  Assistant Professor in History of Political Institution at the Law Department of the University of Salento. His main research interests are in the areas of European Integration Process and German political history in the 20th century.
