Description:

In the third semester the course includes the following themes: division of resources of public administration, human resources and their planning, material resources and property of public administration, financing of public administration and controlling in public administration. Students are encouraged to illustrate each of the topics with concrete examples from practice and to apply the knowledge they acquire in the courses in their mother tongue.

Besides working on single legal terms, collocations and multi-word expressions, students practice syntactical structures relevant for the understanding of academic texts. Students are expected to actively participate in the class work and to connect theoretical knowledge with real examples from practice.

Cognitive Skills:

name basic resources that are a precondition for the work of administration

explain the process of governing human resources

name main aspects of planning human resources

discuss the problem of maintenance and management of administration property

explain different approaches to planning finances in administration (short-term and midium-term planning)

define the concept and instances of administration control

Practical and Generic Skills:

develop the ability of understanding a text from a specific field of expertise in the foreign language

develop the ability of written and oral communication in the foreign language

take part in group and pair work

present results of group / pair work

work independently on the translation of a text from the field of administration

the learning outcomes are tested by written exercises, an oral examination and student presentations delivered in class;
