Description:

Policy analysis in social policy. Qualitative approaches in social policy research. Quantitative methods in social policy research. Longitudinal analyses in social policy. Research draft/project proposal. Strategic planning in social policy. Social indicators. Assessment of needs in social programs. Evaluation of social policy programs. Factors that disturb the assesment of the effects of the social policy programs implementation. Influence of research on social policy programs.

Cognitive Skills:

After successfully completing the course, students will be able to:

1. design and prepare an outline of a project/program proposal in line with the European program practice

2. apply methods of analysis of social problems relevant for social poliucy programs

3. understand phases and characteristics of the process of preparation of strategic plans for development and participate in discussions about this topic

4. understand the role of evaluation research

5. understand the role of relevant stakeholders in the processes of preparation of social projects and programs

6. use research results in the preparation of social projects and programs

Practical and Generic Skills:

After successfullly mastering the course, students will be able to:

 

- effectively participate in team work

- independently present professional topics to a wider audience

- independently prepare competitive project proposals.
